The president has made all out war with Christian believers and churches by requiring contraception, the abortion pill to be made available through employer purchased health insurance benefits. Not only must it be available to all women, these things must be FREE? What is so all fired important about these things?

If it truly was a concern for health, wouldn’t there be more important items that should be made available to all and perhaps free? How about making drug companies produce these life saving drugs that are in very short supply: http://bit.ly/p76BTd

So what is it about preventing and stopping pregnancy?

I have a theory.

One of the czars in Mr. Obama’s staff, the science czar, John Holdren, believes in the concept of ‘forced abortion’, sterilization, as population growth solutions. http://fxn.ws/ntZ1w This led my memory back to the 1970′s and 1980′s when the liberals were trying to scare the world with the concept of ‘overpopulation’. There were news reports, movies of the week, learned people telling us we were overpopulating the world and soon there wouldn’t be enough food or space left for people to live. http://bit.ly/ynAXib

I think this free contraception and abortion pill requirement by our president has been demanded to help control human population. Many progressives believe we are overpopulating, harming mother (earth). If you stand back and observe what has happened, you will see this latest action as the third leg of the stool of population control:

• legalized and encouraged abortion at any stage of pregnancy
• homosexual acceptance and indeed, encouraged homosexual relationships
• FREE contraception, abortion pills

It’s easy to do searches on this subject. It proliferates throughout the last 40 years, a goal of this ideology. Take a look at ‘global warming’ which has been deflated by scientific fraud. The same goal was there. It’s the human element that causes harm to the earth.

“Mr. Holdren, the science czar, coauthored a book in 1977: Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment. In it Holdren and his co-authors spend a portion of the book discussing possible government programs that could be used to lower birth rates.

Those plans include forcing single women to abort their babies or put them up for adoption; implanting sterilizing capsules in people when they reach puberty; and spiking water reserves and staple foods with a chemical that would make people sterile.

To help achieve those goals, they formulate a “world government scheme” they call the Planetary Regime, which  would administer the world’s resources and human growth, and they discuss the development of an “armed international organization, a global analogue of a police force” to which nations would surrender part of their sovereignty.

Holdren and his coauthors offer ideas for “coercive,” “involuntary fertility control,” including “a program of sterilizing women after their second or third child,” which doctors would be expected to do right after a woman gives birth.

Mr. Holdren and his coauthors deny they were proponents of the ‘Draconian measures in the book. But the book is there in black and white. At my stage of life, I don’t fall for lies. This has always been their goal. The only difference now is they’re not telling you how they’re going about it.

Seems I wrote another post about this. Perhaps I simply need to expand my thoughts.

The word charity is used in the KJV of the Bible and it means love. Lets take a little trip with the word charity.

Charity in 1 Corinthians 13 means love. Better, yet, the Greek word that was translated by King James to ‘charity’, is agape. ( αγαπην)

The definition of agape: 25.43 αγαπαωa; αγαπηa, ης f: to have love for someone or something, based on sincere appreciation and high regard — ‘to love, to regard with affection, loving concern, love.’

Ok, the word agape in the Bible means a very high form of love, respect, sincere appreciation.

Why was it translated to ‘charity’ by King James?

Let’s look at the origin of the word ‘charity’.

The English word ‘charity’ is from old French: charite, from Latin cāritās affection, love, from cārus, dear.

So we are back to the word ‘love’. Charity is respect, appreciation, love. And we use it in helping each other, not just some group of people who we label ‘poor’.

Ever hear: There but for the grace of God go I? It means we are all created with the same weaknesses in the same flawed world. We need each other. Jesus said we are to love each other. He said:  “I was hungry, but you did not give me anything to eat, and I was thirsty, but you did not give me anything to drink. I was a stranger, but you did not welcome me, and I was naked, but you did not give me any clothes to wear. I was sick and in jail, but you did not take care of me.””
(Matthew 25:42–43 CEV):

Jesus did not say, “I was hungry but your government didn’t give me anything to eat, and I was thirsty, but your government didn’t give me anything to drink. He left the obligation to YOU.  And he said:  “The king will say to them, “Whenever YOU failed to help any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, YOU failed to do it for me.”

If we are believers, we must rethink Jesus’ words. His Spirit living in us gives us love for each other which translates into action, just as Jesus’ love for us led him to die. Love, then, is an action word, Love is charity.

I think my days are all like that. Where do I start? What first? Housework? laundry, dusting, vacuuming, clean bathrooms? Or should I begin with those projects? data entry for the taxes, forms that need completion, data entry for Abraham, set up that new printer, clean off and re organize kitchen counters and cabinets.

Or should I write in my blog?

Hahaha. The blog won out.

What do Scriptures say about this? Proverbs speaks of laziness in many of its verses. Chapter 12, verse 24 states that laziness ends in slave labor. Ephesians 4:28 states Christians should work hard so we will have something to give to those in need. Titus 3:14 tells Christians  to work so we can provide for our daily necessities. And Ephesians 5:15-17 says that we should not be foolish in these evil times. We should make every minute count.

So, maybe I should get to those chores and projects.

Today I must begin to deal with one of my real weaknesses.

gluttony

The dictionary simply defines gluttony as overeating or over drinking.

I define it as compulsion to eat. I don’t have trouble as a rule because I just don’t keep any food around that I love that much. After all, we aren’t supposed to live to eat. We are to eat to live.

However, we just had a big celebration. And what I didn’t supply in food and drink, others brought for me as ‘hostess gifts’. Bless them.

Does the Bible have anything to say about gluttony? Yes! “and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.”
(Proverbs 23:2 NIV)

“If you find honey, eat just enough— too much of it, and you will vomit.”
(Proverbs 25:16 NIV)

Any of our various appetites are there for a reason. But when we pursue those appetites for our pleasure, we become obsessed and then compelled to fulfill that appetite more and more. It’s a merry-go-round of appetite>indulge>pleasure>more pleasure>appetite>indulge>pleasure…

This particular weakness of mine, gluttony, is for a single food. Chocolate. It’s so bad, I must ask my husband to avoid buying me chocolate for gifts. If it’s in the house, it’s gone very quickly.

The best way to overcome this is, of course, in prayer and scripture. I’ll do both today. Although the chocolate that was given to me on Sunday is gone, it’s a problem I know the Lord will give me the strength to overcome.

The furnace is working.

The house is clean.

The food is prepared.

But, things keep breaking and malfunctioning here. What’s going on? Something new to challenge us almost each day for the past 2 weeks.

Woke to the power going out at 5 AM. Then, in starting the generator, the furnace would not come on. Now, at 1 PM we have power but no heat. It’s 20 degrees outside with a chill factor of 7 degrees. Got electric heaters on and a huge fire in the fireplace. Mom is the one I’m concerned for the most. She always says, “I’m not cold”. But at 92, you don’t always feel the cold as well.

Furnace guy was to be here between 9AM and 4PM. I pray he can fix it. Chill factor is going to be sub-zero tonight.

Maybe there won’t be a party tomorrow. We’ll see.

I used to believe that anger was ok with God. But now I don’t believe anger leads to any good thing. Allowing myself to seethe with anger yesterday just led to more anger and unhappiness. It left me unable to proceed in a rational way. So in the future, I will not give way to my anger. I’ll stop, pray, ask for patience and joy. Perhaps then I will be more productive in meeting the challenge. But first-PRAY!♡

It started with a requirement to be at our business for a ‘dye test’. The buyers wanted to be sure our business wasn’t allowing water from the drains into any other passage. I had to make time for this at short notice on a day I’m getting the house ready, shopping for food for 20 people for mom’s 92nd birthday party Sunday. Busy week.

I was there on time. The plumber arrived and waved. I greeted him and told him I had the forms he would be filling out. The township man arrived 10 minutes late, drove up with an arrogant look. Told him I had the forms. He said they weren’t for him and walked away.

I sat in my car and waited since I had unlocked the door to provide access. In a few minutes the township man was in his car and on his cell phone. He waited in his car for the next 10 minutes and in drove another township car. (Actually the township cars are huge Suburbans or cars like it.) Township man #2 got out of his car and came to the car of township man #2, who then got out of his car and as they both walked around our building, township man #1 was shaking his head. (I knew something bad was about to happen. And it was going to cost us a lot.)

In a matter of minutes, township man #1 came to my car and told me our business didn’t pass the ‘dye test’, not because there were any plumbing problems. The overhang of the building didn’t extend enough and rain water was going into the sanitary sewage system. We would have to go to the code man (township man #3) to ask what would be required to meet code.

Got the bill from the plumber for the ‘dye test’ and paid it. $300. To tell us we needed to spend a lot of $ just to sell the business. This is all based on requirements from the federal government on sewage handling.

I was table pounding furious.

I still am. Having trouble calming down. I’m just so angry. I have no answers for dealing with this anger. I know I blame bureaucracy for all of the rings we must always jump through and the expense of falling in line under federal, state and local regulations. The expense is more than just money. The expense is the actual time left in my life, and the horrible aggravation causing dis-ease to my physical body. But perhaps that’s their goal. The less people who live to 70, the cheaper it will be to deal with us.

I need to get to Sam’s to buy all the food for Sunday. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll have a better blog.

I’ve become wiser in understanding and in scriptures since then.

Socialism is a form of government. It’s not a faith.

Giving to others in need is part of our faith.

Socialism is the government collecting from a few and giving to its chosen others.

Faith is showing our love for our neighbors as Christ loved us. Christ died for us. We are to die for each other if necessary. But the kind of love we have as believers is an action word, not an emotion. And it leads to taking individual responsibility for others.

And there’s the difference. Individual responsibility.

Socialism as a government system is actually sinful. It causes people to covet what others own. The last of the Ten commandments: ““You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.””
(Exodus 20:17 NIV)

Shoving our responsibility of loving others onto the government is wrong. It’s a cop out. And it becomes tyranny for a government to take over this responsibility of individuals.

Mitt wins. Newt wins. Mitt attacks with half truths. Newt gets angry, no furious, and attacks Mitt.

I understand the TV ads in Fla were hard to stomach, there were so many. Although Mitt out ad’d Newt 7:1, I think people got tired of it and stayed home from the polls. The turn out was the worst for quite some time. I couldn’t understand why at first but now I think it was because they were inundated with political ads, robo calls. I know I can become furious at junk phone calls.

Well, they’re on to another state. Nevada? Mitt stopped off in Minnesota first.

But wait! They aren’t finished in Florida! Hanging chads? No, I Don’t think so. It’s the announcement that all the delegates will go to Mitt! Evidently there is a rule that no such announcements can take place til April. I have heard that Newt people are going back to Florida to see if Newt can get some of those delegates. ✄

I’m still standing behind and donating to Newt. He has more real fire in his belly and seems more human than Mitt. He’s very smart and has good ideas but a little labile.  However, it’s a good bet that Mitt will have the $$ behind him to win more delegates than Newt due to the establishment Republican party supporting him; no, they’re actually doing more than supporting him. I believe they have been behind the recent attack ads via many Republican politicians and personalities last week. It was a Newt fest! They feasted on Newt! Had to be planned and coordinated. That many in one day just don’t happen by chance.

But, the show goes on.

I’ll be watching! And praying for Newt.

When we love, we make ourselves vulnerable. We open ourselves to the one we love because we also trust.

Being totally open to this one we love, a strong disagreement can become harsh. When it becomes harsh, our vulnerability allows things about us to become bullets. For example, let’s pretend I have blond brillo pad-like hair. It’s awful! During our argument, the one I love could use that fact against me, telling me he hates my blond brillo pad-like hair. And when that happens, it hurts very much.

I know, silly example. But make that a characteristic that you have that you hate about yourself and blam! It can really be used as a weapon against you.
