News of the Day

I’m bombarded daily by news. It starts in the morning with husband’s look at the weather, today’s and the week. Then world/national news and local shootings and traffic accidents with a house fire or two through the night.

There isn’t any good economic news. The nation is set to collapse. The world is set to collapse too. Governments seek to ‘fix’ everything. Though, it’s the people who can make a difference, not rulers, presidents, representatives.

But we’re drowning in laws, regulations. We’re working hard to keep our heads above water and care for our families. But prices on everything are going up and our retirement savings have been taken away by stock market drops. There’s no place to put anything saved. We lose our principle in every place we used to sock a little money.

I’m looking for a person to run for president who will tell me there is hope. Real hope. Hope for my country. Hope for my family. Hope for the world. After Mr. Cain suspended his campaign, I see no one that fits that bill.

So I’ll just lean on Jesus. And do what I can to take his Gospel to those in need. I don’t know what others do without Him. He’s the only sanity in my world. He’s the only one with Good News. ♡♡♡

Is. 40:9 You who tell good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain; you who tell good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength; lift it up, don’t be afraid; say to the cities of Judah, Behold, your God!

Amen and can I get a witness? My two favorite words are “Fear Not” –
Almost every book in the Bible has a “fear not” in it. The enemy uses fear, but God would have us to have faith in Him.
Genesis 15:1 “After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.”

I was born afraid and was overcome by fear of everything in the world until God got through to me on the “be not afraid” message.

Our country is clearly not headed in the right direction. The world isn’t headed in the right direction, but we don’t have anything to fear. I do think there is a pretty good chance that this country is going to fall, but I know I will be ok no matter what. I just want to make sure my love ones are following God but I have to trust God in that as well.

This isn’t our final home and God has already won the battle. We just don’t see it yet.

        Karen,
Such truth in your comments. And you’re right. It just takes reminding. God has already won. But we’re still in Satan’s play ground and it’s almost impossible to see.
        That’s why we have faith!

  3. I liked Hermann Cain too. He was willing to talk about tough issues, provide a possible solution and say “We can do this”. Far better than Romney who (I don’t believe) really does see a problem that requires tough choices. He thought he was applying for the CEO’s position at a mega-corporation and his job would be to “grow” the business. If anything, we need a president who will reduce the size of the business and outsource a lot of what’s left. The economy would boom if the government would stop sucking up all available money.

I hear what you saying and agree. The reality is, we’ll never have a president like that. However, we have had and should work hard to elect persons who will do what they’re supposed to do, which is to abide by the Constitution. That means they should support God-given values of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Good post. I’m glad you found me, so I could find you.

Aw, thanks so much for your comments and visit!
These last 10-12 years have caued me to become very active in our local government and Republican Party work. The work is important. Not eveyone needs to be this engaged BUT! EVERYONE must become educated and informed about our Constitution and just what’s going on in government today. I still believe there are enough of us with values that can turn our country around. (I know that’s an over used phrase but it’s what we must do!).
