Ploni Almoni

In the book of Ruth, the Ruth’s kinsman redeemer had to be asked if he would do this duty to his kinsman, marry Ruth and provide his kinsman with an heir. The Bible does not give us his name. He is simply knowns as פלני אלמני or the ‘certain someone’. When he said he could not do this duty for Ruth, Boaz, then married Ruth and another of the line of David was born.

The Hebrew words above are pronounced, ‘Ploni Almoni’. They mean John Doe in Hebrew. In our president’s speech he named Ploni from the Talmud who was a great miracle worker.

There is no such ‘someone’ in the Talmud.

He is an embarrassment. And it just shows the recklessness the speech writers used in writing this speech for our president to give to the Israelis. They certainly don’t seem to care much about how their boss appears to the Jewish people, do they? Does he?

“au contraire” – these people are so arrogant they think they know everything… they thought they were connecting. Why does Obama always use a teleprompter? Because he doesn’t have a clue what he’s talking about. And half the time, neither do his speech writers. They truly are an embarrassment.
