An Israeli Soldier’s Song

When I was in Israel, I saw the Israeli soldiers everywhere. They were armed and watchful. They smiled at you. They were kind and helpful. In Jerusalem, one of them wanted his picture taken with me. Got it!

In Bethlehem (Palestinian territory) the soldiers were rude, never looked you in the eye. Held their guns at all times and looked pretty dangerous. They weren’t friendly, although the tourists were going there again and would be spending lots of money which would help their economy. They seemed pretty unhappy too.

Someday I’ll post the pic of me and the Israeli soldier. No, really! He asked me for the picture!

By the way, Passover started last night. This was when the bread was eaten without leaven to foretell when the bread without sin (leaven) would come down from heaven for us to eat. Praise God for our Jewish brothers and sisters, for God chose them to bring HIM to us.
