How many colonialists actually supported, fought for/in the Revolutionary War?

a> Text for the ESPN link in this blog, you will see that we dont really have much control over our lives. We must trust in Almighty God, El Shaddai. Only HE has control.

Only 3% of the Colonials actually fought against Britain.

About 10% of the Colonists actually actively supported the Colonial army fighting the British.

There were possibly another 20% of Colonials who were pro-Colonial army, but they gave very slight or no support to the rebels.

Another 33% of Colonials actually supported the British.

The other 33% took no sides and accepted whatever happened.

Isn’t it amazing?!!

What’s my point?

If you return to my first post in this blog, you will see that we don’t really have much control over our lives. We must trust in Almighty God, El Shaddai. Only HE has control.

But God commands us to be light, be salt to our world. This means we should do, say, model what is righteous according to God and his Word. We should stand for our faith against abortion, abortion pills, evil use of our God-given our resources, legalizing homosexual marriage, deceit, abuse of people, standing for what is true and good, all the while, loving everyone.

We (The government is NOT responsible for charity. WE ARE. US. Individuals.) must also provide for those who are without: widows and orphans. We are also responsible for our families, for their support during bad fortune.

There’s more, but the message is to have faith in God for whatever happens and take the actions you know are correct in living your life as the Lord did.

And pray without ceasing. Don’t forget to pray for your country and its leaders.

Whatever happens to our country, we can be sure it is all in our Father’s hands. We simply trust and obey, acting when we know we should. He will do what is right for us. And I trust it is to return our country to its righteous state; it will be the Lord’s victory through us.

Very good and well said. It is a powerful statement about what’s going on around us. We had some formidable clergy in those days say basically, ‘pay the tax and just pacify the king’. Not the best advice. But, right, we must pray in the face of it. He is still on His throne. You might appreciate my recent post on the marriage ordeal. Not qite as concise or direct as this.

That was a good post on’ marriage equality’. If we allow them to, the left will just totally cause such confusion that we give up. Gotta keep it all straight. Stay true. Know truth.

I’ve heard some on the left say there really is no truth. But there is! Jesus is truth. His Words are truth and life. They have been our guiding light for over 2000 years and this gaggle of silly geese are trying to obliterate the Truth.
Stay true, bullright. I appreciate your visit and especially your kind comments. I thank you.

The numbers amazed me. Very much like Gideon’s army when God had him cut the numbers back to almost none. And then Israel won.
I see us in that light.
Thanks, JTR. So glad you got a lift.

  3. Three Percent. Maybe there’s hope for this Nation, yet. I’d heard this before, but I’m so glad that you have posted this.
