Scrap the Senate Immigration bill

Call your senators and congressman and tell them NO! to this immigration bill. It is suicide for our country.

It’s as bad as the Tea Party thinks it is.  It’s worse.  In some ways, it’s a pig in a poke: it’s not about immigration as much as it is about changing the way government business is done in the United States.

A couple of points up front.

Legal immigration is good

First, I am a pro-immigration voter.  Not only am I pro-immigration, I am happy to accept immigrants who aren’t Ph.D.s, IT professionals, and bioengineers.  I have nothing against credentialed professionals, but the truth is that they are not the economic accelerators that small business entrepreneurs are.  America has had tremendous success with legal immigration; we should do more of it than we do today, and we should not seek to admit only those who come laden with wealth and credentials.  That is not the path to national prosperity.

America does need to repair other failures,

Yes… “let us reward the illegal aliens so that they will always vote for us”. This is amnesty. If it is successful, (and I believe it will be) there will never be another ‘republican’ president again… just one powerfully big progressive party.

I believe there is a chance it can be stopped. Get out the word.
There’s a Tea Party rally on the Capital grounds on this at noon tomorrow.

Yes, I know… The problem is, they (Tea Party Patriots) announced the ‘press conference’ just days ago, so there is no way that the average American Citizen could financially afford or make the time (they are the ‘makers’, the ones who have jobs) to get there. While there are some FANTASTIC speakers and BIG NAME attendees, it would be much more powerful if the masses of average American Citizens could be there. I am watching the coverage though and I do hope you are right.

WOW. PRAY for justice, for truth and for Gods Hand of protection…

Capitol Hill Police Block Tea Party Activists from Immigration Rally
by Mike Flynn 19 Jun 2013, 7:18 AM PDT
Capitol Hill police are trying to block activists attending Wednesday’s “Audit the IRS” rally from also attending a nearly day-long press conference on immigration, hosted by Reps. Steve King and Louie Gohmert. The IRS rally is on the west side of the Capitol, while the immigration event is on the east side. Organizers for the IRS event were told by Hill police that “your people” can only assemble on the west side. Organizers were told to remove the activists from the immigration event.

Capitol Hill police left a voicemail for Kevin Mooneyhan, Deputy Executive Director of Tea Party Patriots, saying that “your people” only are permitted to assemble for the event on the west side of the Capitol. The activists’ presence at the immigration event on the east side, supposedly violates the terms of the Tea Party’s permit. Mooneyhan was instructed to move any activists who planned on attending the Tea Party rally away from the immigration event.

Keep in mind, the immigration event is hosted by sitting members of Congress. The notion that citizens can’t attend an event featuring duly elected Representatives in a public space is absurd.

“The Capitol police are violating our rights to assembly and association,” Mooneyhan told Breitbart News. “How does our permit limit the rights of individuals to attend public events. It’s intimidation.”

Mooneyhan added, “How do they even know these are ‘our people?’ Did they look them up through PRISM?” PRISM is the controversial NSA program that reportedly tracks internet and email communication.

Wow. What’s the definintion of a police state? We’re in a real fight for our freedoms.
Praying God will supernaturally intervene for Tea Party citizens and get the word out on this.
But why would I be surprised?

exactly. That was exactly my point behind my comment of WOW and PRAY. For ‘the man’ (capital hill police) to try and stop We the People from Constitutionally assembling is so NOT the American Way! OMGosh, yes, this nation needs God to supernaturally intervene… (IMO, we MUST remove ‘legal abortion’ from the law books to resume Gods Hand of Protection and Guidance on us!)

The House passed a bill limiting abortion to 20 weeks with the prez threatening veto. Time to let congress hear what we think of that one too.
        You’re absolutely correct.

    Sorry, I believe that’s today.
Our local GOP and Tea party group has publicized it for weeks. Many of my friends will be there.
I pray they will get the information out though I’m sure much of MSM will not give it proper attention.
Thanks for visiting again, sis. I do value your comments.

“Sorry, I believe that’s today.” … I’m not sure what you mean.

Yes, BOTH events are today, going on right now. The ‘audit the irs’ rally and the ‘immigration press conference’.

I cannot be there, so, lifting it (both) up in prayer 🙂

In my original comment I said I believe the rallies are tomorrow.

PRAYING THIS MAKES THE EVENING NEWS. I believe that today no matter the spin by the media, people are going to look further for truth. Polls are showing a swing away from trust in this governement.

Somebody on Beck’s show today said: Why would a Jewish person or a Black person put their trust in little ‘g’ government instead of big ‘G’ God?

Oh! heehee, I missed that in the original comment. I’m telling ya, I have been in prayer while listening and watching today’s events, simultaneously. The crowd IS growing larger, and that right there does give me hope… people are awake and they have made sacrifices to be there today (boy, do I ever wish I could of been one of them!)… I just heard that on Beck’s show too!
