Filled with the Holy Spirit

“Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, ‘Brother Saul, the Lord-Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here-has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit'” (Acts 9:1).

Billy Graham, the great evangelist, shared a personal story about the role of the Holy Spirit in his life-long ministry and how he came to see the importance of being filled with the Holy Spirit.

In my own life there have been times when I have also had the sense of being filled with the Spirit, knowing that some special strength was added for some task I was being called to perform. Just a quick note: we did street evangelism with tracts for 2 weeks. I was so scared. Read that Paul had been afraid too…1 Corinthians 2:3
I was so concerned that I would be ineffectual and afraid to actually witness! Scipture I remembered then: Some water, some plant-I wasn’t responsible for others to come to salvation! I just witnessed. The Holy Spirit was so real then and he showed us miracle after miracle! Huge. Wonderful. Praise His Name!

Only getting out about 1 post/week over at our place right now, so I can have enough time to see you guys.

Your experience sounds awesome: took more than a little courage, I’d say. The Big Guy is always around to help, though: just have to keep the Faith.

All the best, hon; see you soon…
