Tannngl, I don’t contribute to United Way to begin with. In 2016, their Total Contributions were $69,697,401 BUT Program Service Revenue was only $38,176,898. United Way didn’t even get into the top 50 charities (https://www.csmonitor.com/Business/Guide-to-Giving/America-s-Top-50-charities-How-well-do-they-rate) HOWEVER, you might be interested to check out #13… I don’t know about you, but I don’ think of Planned Parenthood as a charity.
BTW, a few days ago, on Twitter, I noticed a tweet that basically said that when our Vets came home from ‘Nam, they were reviled as ‘babykillers’; Now the ‘babykillers’, who have abortions are lauded…. what is wrong with our world?!?!?

Great catch, foguth. I remember being pressured to donate to the United Way at my hospital and it prompted me to look into what they do. I decided I would give to charities I want to give to, not those on the United Way list. And that was when I was 20. Have always resented the United Way.
And they are NOT a charity! Planned Parenthood certainly finds horrendous ways to make revenues after taking from our government, the United Way and from patients.
I remember that about the Nam soldiers. My how things have changed. The world has been turned upside down.
BTW, thanks for following my blog! Appreciate it!

Companies can exert a lot of pressure on employees, and I really don’t think that is fair — if they haven’t researched the company and how they use the contributions, I don’t think its right, either.

Absolutely! Christians need to stand firm against unbelieving peer pressure. Think of it as a test of faith. Did you pass?
